Description

The AcroPrepTM line of multi-well filter plates provide a superior platform for a multitude of laboratory applications. 

 

AcroPrep filter plates are designed to support the stringent requirements for high throughput applications and comply with the standards set forth by the Society of Biomolecular Screening (ANSI/SBS x-2004) for multi-well plates. Pall filter plates feature a rigid construction, which facilitates ease of use in automated systems. The rigidity of the plate prevents it from flexing and jamming in robotic processing units.

 

Plates are constructed from chemically resistant and biologically inert polypropylene, which means that plates are themselves low in binding to nucleic acids and proteins. The nature of the polypropylene housing also provides durability when using harsh organic solvents and will not contribute unwanted extractables or leachables. Additionally, the materials of construction have been tested to ensure that they do not contribute to ion suppression/enhancement. 

 

The patented design and unique sealing mechanism used in AcroPrep filter plates individually seals each well to prevent crosstalk (cross contamination from one well to another). Specially engineered fluid directors and outlet tips on the bottom of AcroPrep filter plates are designed to further reduce the potential for crosstalk.

 

The proprietary sealing technology provides flexibility in integrally sealing a variety of membranes and media in filter plates. This flexibility has allowed Pall to develop a wide array of plates that can meet developing customer needs.

Pall also offers a multi-well plate vacuum manifold that has been designed and optimized for vacuum filtration, and is a perfect fit for SBS-conforming filter plates. 

 

The manifold is constructed from durable anodized aluminum and comes complete with the necessary O-ring and gasket. The control block includes the vacuum pressure gauge, vacuum metering valve, vacuum release valve and the 1/4 inch hose barb for vacuum line attachment. Included with the vacuum manifold unit is a spacer block designed to accommodate standard 350 µL receiver plates. A spacer block that has been optimized to work with our 1 mL plate is available separately.
