Pall’s Versapor membrane is formed from an acrylic copolymer material, a membrane that is very strong and flexible providing excellent throughput with high liquid flow rates at low differential pressures. When the Versapor membrane is used in a syringe filter format it forms a single use, self contained, filtration device which is ideal for use in the filtration of particulate laden aqueous samples.
Acrodisc syringe filters with Versapor membrane are available sterilized by gamma irradiation. Sterilization by gamma irradiation eliminates potential cytotoxic residuals associated with EtO sterilization. They are individually blister packed to ensure sterility during storage and handling. The syringe filters are certified non-pyrogenic and biologically safe, making them ideal to use in life science applications such as the filtration of serum or the clarification of other biological solutions.
