Description

AcroPrep 96 Filter Plates, 1 mL with Mustang Q membrane can be used in high throughput ion exchange (IEX) applications. This multi-well format can be used to carry out parallel, high throughput ion exchange pre-fractionation of complex samples, such as serum or plasma. This convenient method development format can be directly scaled up to syringe-based Acrodisc devices and larger capsules with Mustang membranes for large-volume bioprocess applications.

Pall offer two IEX membranes, made from polyethersulfone (PES) material, with strong IEX ligands, quaternary amine and sulfonic functional groups on Mustang Q (strong anion) and Mustang S (strong cation) membranes respectively. Mustang IEX membranes deliver efficient and rapid flow rates with a convective pore structure that results in processing times that are much shorter and more efficient than conventional resin-based technologies. Mustang devices have throughputs of up to 100 times that of traditional bead-based media with no associated loss of capacity.

The filter plates are constructed of chemically resistant, biologically-inert polypropylene. They feature a robotics-friendly design that has a single piece construction and is designed in accordance with the ANSI/SBS X-2004 specifications. A serialized barcode label allows use in automated tracking systems.
