Acrodisc® Syringe Filters with PTFE Membrane - GxF/0.45 µm, AutoPack tubes (25/pkg 200/cs)
Product ID: AP-4301 Need this product with different specifications
PTFE membrane is highly chemically compatible for the filtration of harsh solvents that can destroy other membrane materials. PTFE is a hydrophobic membrane, so it will repel water and is not suitable for the filtration of aqueous solutions.
As well as being suitable for the filtration of organic solvents in applications such as HPLC and UHPLC sample preparation, the hydrophobic nature of the PTFE membrane makes these syringe filters ideal to use in gas filtration or as a moisture barrier in venting applications.
The GxF/PTFE membrane configuration features a a GxF multi-layer glass fiber prefilter, providing two to four times the throughput of standard prefilter devices. The multi-layer prefilter captures particulate rated from > 40 to 1 μm.
Pall provides HPLC certification with these products, ensuring that analytical results will not be compromised by extractable filter materials. Pall membranes are tested for compatibility with common HPLC solvents including water, methanol, and acetonitrile, using established HPLC procedures. In addition, to verify low levels of UV-detectable extractables, samples of the syringe filters are evaluated prior to release.
Acrodisc PSF Syringe Filters feature a large effective filtration area (3.9 cm2) for increased sample throughput, ideal for sample volumes of ≤ 150 mL. Pall Acrodisc PSF Syringe Filters are designed to be fully compatible for use with automated robotic handling systems offering reliable and worry-free operation. The syringe filters are supplied in ready to use autopack tubes that can be easily loaded into automated systems.
