As a well-established technology, they can be used with any filter press to separate liquids from unwanted contaminants. For use in beer, wine, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, bottled water and dairy applications.
Want a clear, bright product you can count on? Choose from over 100 filter sheet media recipes with various dimensions to support your ever-changing and growing food and beverage business.
Pall Depth Filter Sheets use surface filtration, depth filtration and adsorbtion as the main filtration mechanisms, providing greater efficiency in all processes:
Seitz Filter Sheets have a long-lasting tradition of more than 130 years in the depth filtration market and play a key role within the Pall depth filter portfolio. The invention of Seitz filter sheets at the beginning of the 19th century and the market introduction of the Seitz-EK Sheet by Theobald Friedrich and Georg Seitz was one of the most important pioneering achievements in the "cold-sterile" bottling of beverages without the necessity of heat treatment without noteworthy quality losses.
Using three filtrations mechanisms, including surface filtration, depth filtration and adsorption, Pall depth filter sheets provide a very effective and economical solution for protecting the final liquid membrane against irreversible colloidal clogging. It also provides a high retention capacity for particles and colloids (porosity of 60 – 90), polishing filtration, chill haze removal and microorganism reduction.
Depth Filter Sheets offer high flexibility for different filtration steps (pore size 0.1 – 70 µm) in one unit and used for the following filtration spectrum:
Utilized in classic plate and frame filters serving as precoat support
