Laid Over, Pleated Depth Filter Media for Microbrewery Preclarification Applications
Profile UP pleated beer clarification filters combine the advantages of a continuously graded pore structure with a unique laid-over pleat geometry to increase effective filtration area and service life. When using this product, fewer cartridges are required for a given flow rate versus a traditional depth style cartridge. Thus, filter vessels are correspondingly smaller, resulting in lower capital and installation costs, as well as reduced operating costs.
Why choose Profile UP pleated depth filters for microbreweries?
This all-polypropylene product consists of a pleated, depth medium using the Ultipleat® filter geometry for high effective filtration area. The result is a filter having superior flow rates with very low differential pressures.

2Typical initial clean delta p per 254 mm (10 inch) cartridge, water at 20 °C (68 °F).
For liquids with a viscosity greater than 1 cP, multiply the delta p by the viscosity.

3For applications requiring in situ sterilization or sanitization, Pall recommends the use of Code 7 adaptors to ensure filter sealing after cooling. Cartridges should be cooled to the system operating temperature prior to use.
